Who is producing Female & Fabulous?
Female & Fabulous is presented by Crestwood Medical Center to support women in the community with an uplifting day dedicated to issues of interest to women.
Is this the first year of the Show?
Yes, the 2008 Show will be the first of what we hope becomes a regular event.
Where and when will the Show take place?
Female & Fabulous will be held on Saturday, March 29, 2008 at the Von Braun Center South Hall in Huntsville. The show will be held from 9am-5pm. Set-up will be Friday, March 28 from 8am-5pm followed by a pre-show charity event from 6-8pm.
How many people will attend the Show?
We are hoping to for an attendance of 5,000.
How much does it cost to atend the Show?
Crestwood Medical Center is presenting this as a gift to the community and admission is free.
Who is eligible to exhibit?
The show is segregated into four distinct areas of interest to women and vendor booths must fall into one of these four categories:
Health & Wellness: Showcasing health-care providers, pharmaceutical companies, health & diet foods, weight control programs and fitness facilities.
Fashion & Beauty: Showcasing jewelry and apparel, skincare and salon services, cosmetic dentistry and cosmetic surgery providers.
Cuisine & Entertainment: Showcasing food vendors, caterers, party and event planning services and hostess products.
Hobbies & Interests: Showcasing arts & crafts, scrapbooking, needlework, dance instruction, travel, golf & tennis, reading and other leisure-time activities.
How much does it cost to exhibit?
10' x 10': $650*
10'x20': $1,150
10' x 30': $1,550
10' x 40' or 20' x 20': $2,050
*A limited number of 10' x 10' booths are avalable in the Fashion & Beauty and Health & Wellness areas.
Do non-profits get a price break?
Non-profit organizations will be offered a minimum number of booths at discounted prices based on space availablilty. Non-profit particiption in the Show is by invitation-only based on the organization's mission, target audience, client base and ability to meet Show objectives. To be considered for participation, organizations must submit a non-profit booth application no later than January 31, 2008.
What is included in the booth?
All booth rentals include a standard booth package consisting of an 8 foot drape at the rear of the exhibit featuring black drapes and accent drapes in one of four colors based on the booth location: teal (Fashion & Beauty); royal blue (Health & Wellness); purple (Hobbies & Interests); or green (Cuisine & Entertainment); 3 foot black side drapes, one 8 foot table skirted in black, 2 chairs per table and one wastebasket per ten feet of space.
Can I purchase electricity, carpet, internet or phone access?
The Von Braun Center provides all services. The following prices are based on advance orders accompanied by credit card authorization form or check made payable to the Von Braun Center and received no less than 7 days prior to the Show's move-in day. High-spead internet access is available only when special arrangements have been made two weeks prior to move in by contacting the VBC Decorating Department. All prices are subject to change.

When is payment due?
50% of the total exhibit space cost must be sent in with the booth rental application as deposit to confirm reservation of space. The unpaid balance for exhibit space must be received by February 15, 2008. Applications for space received after February 15, 2008 must include full payment. Checks must be made payable to Female & Fabulous.
When is the last day I can purchase a booth?
Booths will be available until Friday, March 21 or until all inventory is sold, whichever comes first.
When is the set-up?
Set up begins on Friday, March 28 at 8am and concludes at 3pm. All booths must be "show-ready" by 5pm in advance of the pre-show charity event to be held from 6-8pm. All booths must be staffed during the charity event.
Can I sell from my booth?
Yes. Exhibitors are welcome to sell merchandise from their booths. It is the responsibility of the exhibitor to pay all applicable license fees and taxes associated with such sales.
Will security be provided?
After 5pm on Friday, March 28, no one will be admitted to the hall without an Exhibitor Badge until the opening of the charity event at 6pm. Following the charity event, which is a ticketed event, the hall will be cleared and locked down. A security guard will be on duty and no one will be admitted to the hall without permission by Show Management. The hall will be secured until 8am when Exhibitors may once again gain admittance with an Exhibitor Badge.
Show Management is not liable for merchandise brought into the hall by Vendors. But we will make every effort possible to secure the hall.
How will the Show be promoted?
The Huntsville Times, Lite 96.9 FM and WAFF 48 have all signed on as media partners of Female & Fabulous. The Huntsville Times will run ads for the Show and the Female & Fabulous makeover Contest and will publish information on the Show in ENJOY!, the new Sunday magazine for women. Lite 96.9 FM will run spots, DJ mentions and will broadcast live from the event. WAFF 48 will run spots on WAFF 48, WAFF 48 Weather Plus and The Tube Music Network, do newscast mentions for the Show and will conduct a Watch and Win Contest the week of the Show.
How will the Show attract attendees?
Female & Fabulous has a number of exciting things planned to attract attendees. The first 500 attendees will receive a bag of special delights coutesy of Dillard's and all attendees will receive a gift from Crestwood Medical Center (while supplies last.) Fashion shows and other events will be featured on the main stage throughout the day, a Female & Fabulous Makeover Contest will be held before the Show and one lucky lady will win a fantastic prize package from sponsoring companies. The Ticket To A Better Life Passport Contest winner will receive a 6-month lease on a Mercedes-Benz from Mercedes-Benz of Huntsville and finally, a special presentation by Style Expert Clinton Kelly of TLC's What Not ToWear will be the highlight of the Show!
